Art Intervention At the Museum: Nino Kvrivishvili Working Process

In the framework of the project “Art Intervention at the Museum” Nino Kvrivishvili studied Soviet-era textiles and worked in the museum’s attic in 2016. During the residency process, she researched and found leftover pieces of fabrics that used to be sold at “Rainbow” (Tsisartkela), a famous textile enterprise in Tbilisi back then. Nino Kvrivishvili combined these textiles with unused, secondary objects from the museum and created new works. In collaboration with curator Irena Popiashvili, these artworks were presented at the exhibition “Soviet Rainbow: From Textile Shop to Museum.”

Photo-story represents documentation of Nino Kvrivishvili’s working process during her residency period at the museum.
